We're headed to Leavenworth to check out Octoberfest. From what I understand they used to be a logging town or a mining town and when the railroad didn't come through and the town started to due they said fuck this, let's pretend we're a German town and we'll attract all kinds of tourists. Lo and behold, it worked.

My mother in law is in town, shaking things up and making things exciting.
